The structural design of a Pyramid consists of three-dimensional triangles, with large bases tapering towards the top and four faces with an accurate or ‘golden angle of inclination’ at 51° 51′ 51″. Due to its shape and angle, the structure gets aligned perfectly to the Earth’s magnetic field thereby making it the greatest receiver and transmitter of cosmic energy. ‘Pyro’ means ‘fire’ or energy and ‘amid’ means ‘centre’ or within; hence, Pyramid is a device with energy at its centre. This is the reason for their being the storehouses of energy drawn from the universe.
This is a step-by-step guide to arranging and wearing the Pyramid Meditation Cap.
The method explained in this article may be used by beginners as well as advanced meditators.
Step 1: Perform Ganapati Homam (‘Ganesh puja’) before starting the meditation session, to get rid of any obstacles in your path.
Step 2: Prepare the Pyramid meditation cap by following the steps given below:
Fold a 90 x 90 cm white cloth in half and cut out an isosceles triangle (i.e., with two equal sides) from it. The base length of this triangle should be approximately 1 metre long.
Fold one of the long sides of the triangle towards its centre to make a rectangle. The width should be approximately 1 metre.
Cut out a very small diamond-shaped piece from it as shown in the picture below:
This diamond-shape is now used as a cover for the 4th eye or Agna, (between the eyebrows or ājñā chakra). This is worn during meditation to keep the mind alert. The length of this piece should be about 2 inches (5cm) and its width about 1/2 inch (1 cm).
The picture below shows a typical Diamond-shaped piece:
Now, secure it on top of the triangle by using a safety pin or similar.
Your Pyramid meditation cap is now ready!
Step 3: Sit in a comfortable position with your spine straight, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.
Step 4: Place the pyramid on top of your head so that the base of the triangle rests on your forehead and the diamond-shaped piece is over your 4th eye.
Step 5: Make sure that the pyramid is in line with your body and is not tilted in any direction.
Step 6: Remain in this position for as long as you want and then slowly remove the pyramid.
Step 7: Take a few deep breaths and break your meditation.
The Pyramid Meditation Cap can be machine-washed on a gentle cycle using warm water and mild detergent, but DO NOT tumble dry. It is best to let it air dry after washing, then store in a safe place.
Step 8: Perform Ganapati Homam again before you start your next meditation session.
The Pyramid Meditation Cap is a great tool to help focus your mind during meditation. It can be used by beginners as well as advanced meditators. Follow the simple steps given in this article to prepare it and then wear it during your meditation sessions. Stay alert and focused with the help of the pyramid-shaped cap and achieve deeper and longer-lasting meditative states. May Lord Ganesha bless you on your journey to inner peace and enlightenment!
